With over 25 years in the real estate business, Susan Burton has excelled to the top among real estate professionals. After receiving her license in 1978, she has been a top producer and #1 in sales among every office she's been affiliated.
She received her GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) in 1980 and her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) in 1988, a designation held by fewer than 2% of the nation¹s realtors. Her training includes Dale Carnegie Effective Speaking and Human Relations, Tom Hopkins Bootcamp and attendance at many other sales seminars throughout her career.
From her award-winning performance in sales and success in the real estate business, she was chosen to attend the Mike Ferry Super Star retreat, a gathering of the top 3,000 real estate agents in North America and has been asked to speak at several success seminars.
In 1997, she opened her own doors...Susan Burton Real Estate, where she and her team have averaged over 100 transactions every year with a shorter market time than the MLS.
Susan attributes her success to hard work, good training and a great team of employees. She and her team give the best possible service by listening to the clients needs and wants, keeping them informed and doing whatever it takes to make their transaction work.

Working in sales was always a life long dream! A powerful person once told me “If you help enough people achieve their goals, you will achieve yours.” Real Estate has allowed me to help others obtain their dreams, and it has been truly rewarding. “I love prospecting for new business.” The knowledge of the market place and the mechanics of how Real Estate works has enabled me to serve our clients beyond their expectations.
We moved to Jackson in 1961, so I’ve seen a lot of growth in and around the metro area. In 1979, I received a degree from “The University of Southern Mississippi”, majoring in Real Estate & Insurance. I went to work with Century 21 Randy Berg Realty at the Reservoir. Interest rates topped 19 ½ % in years to come, and I moved into the commercial side of real estate. In the mid 80’s I went to work as a Rep for Eljer Industries, taking care of clients needs and developing new business.
In 1995, Susan & I opened Susan Burton Real Estate, LLC because I felt Susan’s name at that time was more synonymous with real estate. We knew we could take better care of our clients, allowing them to have a more pleasant experience. We have been doing that since we opened the doors.
